DESCRIPTION: Working in collaboration with the Rector, Curate will work in ministries throughout the parish, with primary focus on Christian Formation and pastoral care. This position is open to newly ordained clergy, but clergy with more experience are also encouraged to apply. Over time, the curate position can transition to an Associate Rector position, if both the Rector and Curate discern a longer-than-curate-call.


This position is open for immediate hire, but the parish is open to waiting for a newly ordained person to start in the summer, if needed.



The qualifications listed below are essential for this position.

  • A passion for engaging others in Christian faith and formation.

  • A desire to help people grow into their baptismal promises.

  • A desire for and love of being with people in all ages and stages of life.

  • Compassion for the needs of the world around us partnered with a desire to work towards God’s Kingdom on earth.

  • Care and passion for liturgy and a willingness to work with both the Rector’s liturgical expectations and the parish’s piety.

  • Excellent organization and communication skills.

  • Administrative precision in attention to details.

  • A desire to continue to grow in priestly formation and a willingness to grow and learn with and from the congregation.

  • A really good sense of humor.

  • MDiv or higher; ordination to the priesthood (or postulancy). 


Compensation: Compensation is based on experience. Salary includes insurance (family), pension, SECA reimbursement, travel, and expense account.
