Compassion Within Our Doors

Stephen Ministry is the one-to-one lay caring ministry.  Equipped and empowered volunteers provide high quality confidential Christ-centered care to people who are hurting.

For almost 20 years, trained St Catherine’s adult volunteers commit to and support teenagers from our church and our community by giving them guidance and validation and provide a loving presence and long-term friendship as they experience their often turbulent teen years.

An order of women who undertake a commitment to a life-long program of prayer, service and evangelism, dedicated to the spread of Christ’s Kingdom and the strengthening of the parish.  One of their primary duties is to serve as hostesses for funeral receptions. 

Following the Sunday services, flowers are delivered to parishioners who are home from a hospital stay, the passing of a loved one or to brighten someone’s day.

All God's Children engages the St. Catherine’s community in the Episcopal Church’s work of racial healing, reconciliation, diversity, inclusion and economic and social justice with the goal of fulfilling our baptismal covenant to “strive for justice and peace among all people and respect the dignity of every human being”.

Sonshine Meals volunteers cook and deliver food to fellow parishioners during a time of special need—the arrival of a newborn, illness, coming home from the hospital or other emergencies such as death in the family. Our parishioners help us by informing the parish office when they have particular needs. Volunteers are needed to prepare and deliver these meals. Periodically we stock a freezer in the kitchen with cooked entrees to be used by this group. All are welcome to join!
