The Rev. Deacon Jess W. Speaker, III

The Rev. Jess W. Speaker, III is a deacon in the Diocese of Atlanta, currently serving at St. Catherine’s Episcopal Church. 

 

Jess W. Speaker, III was ordained to the vocational diaconate in October 2022 after several years of formation in both the Diocese of Atlanta and the Diocese of Virginia.  Jess works as a Senior Business Representative for the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists.  At SAG-AFTRA he serves as the union representative for professional actors and performers working in film and television in Georgia and South Carolina.

 

Jess grew up in Oklahoma and moved to the Washington, DC metro where he lived for nearly 20 years before moving to Atlanta in 2021.  He graduated from St. Gregory’s University in Shawnee, OK and did his graduate work in Labor Studies at the University of Massachusetts.  He is very active in Scouting with his children Jessica and Will.  His wife, Monica, works at the Alliance Theatre.  The Speakers live in West Cobb and feel very blessed to be assigned to St. Catherine’s!
