Trip to the Square! Join us for a visit to the Marietta History Museum for a tour, led by our own Marilyn Hunter, on Thursday, February 8, 10am. For those who want to meet for lunch, we will walk over to the Marietta Market where you can choose from dozens of different types of lunch items.
Are You a Auto Fan? We’ll drive up to Cartersville, on Thursday, March 8, to see the Savoy Automobile Museum, a new addition to Georgia. The museum connects people to the cultural diversity of the automobile through changing exhibits as well as permanent ones. We’ll see Art Deco cars from the 1930’s, Wooden Wonders (Woodies) and many other types of memorable classic cars.
Lunch and Learn: During Lent, on Saturday, March 16, St. Cat’s will present a half-day workshop from 12 noon till 4pm, on planning for your future. It will include information about Episcopal Communities Foundation and our own Great Oak Fund as well as an opportunity to plan your Funeral Service. Wondering what music you might like? Our Music Director, Chris Walters will be there to help us choose the perfect hymns.
Visit to Oakland Cemetery: on Thursday, April 18, we will visit historical Oakland Cemetery in Atlanta with tour guides Marion Hegedus and David Moore (former Executive Director) another two folks from St. Cat’s. We will offer a walking tour and a six passenger “golf cart” tour. For those who can stay, we will enjoy lunch across the street at Six Feet Under!
