The Rev. Rebecca Roberts
The Rev. Rebecca Roberts is a recent graduate of The General Theological Seminary in New York City. She was ordinated as a priest at St. Catherine's on August 17, 2019. (read about it here!)
A native of Calhoun, Georgia, Rebecca grew up in the Southern Baptist tradition. She has degrees from Berry College, the University of Alabama, and the School of Theology at the University of the South (Sewanee). She spent the first part of her career working as an academic librarian and archivist, primarily at Berry College. Her academic interests include the world of early Christians, biblical studies, and Christian mysticism.
She is a certified yoga instructor and spiritual director with a special interest in contemplative practices and their place in the Episcopal Church.
Rebecca and her husband, Brad, who is originally from Cobb County, have two cats, Chloe and Phoebe. Brad transitioned from the banking industry and now works for the Episcopal Church Foundation.
In her free time, she enjoys reading cozy mysteries, hiking, and eating Brad’s cooking. She also has a passion for creative outlets including painting and visual journaling.
