Have you ever wondered what you're really saying when you recite the Nicene Creed? This 5-week class marks the 1700th anniversary of the Council of Nicaea by exploring the Nicene Creed as a practical guide for living, not just
ancient words. Come discover how this historic prayer can shape your hope, faith, and everyday life.
Marking the 1700th anniversary of the Council of Nicaea (325 - 2025), this 5 week course asks: What does it mean to pray the Creed? Far more than a historical artifact or doctrinal checklist, the Nicene Creed is explored as a living, breathing guide to Christian Discipleship - a prayer, a proclamation, an ethic, and a theological orientation to the world. Blending historical context, theological reflection, and spiritual practices, participants will discover the Creed as an invitation to deeper belief, hope, and life in Christ, animating questions of incarnation, creation, divine mystery, and our journey with God.
This is a casual discussion class format that requires no pre-work and centers on discussion and application.

exploring how baptism, scripture, the eucharist, and prayer shape us and our daily lives.
This class, created for all adults in the parish, explores how to encounter the holy in everyday life and how to live out our faith in all contexts. Using prompts from spiritual and theological readings, we discuss where we see God active in our lives and how we might live as faithful Christians.
For the remainder of the year, we will be exploring God's invitation to a life of discipleship using Rowan Williams' book Being Christian. Walking through baptism, scripture, the eucharist, and prayer, we will explore how all of these form us and how we can live what we learn in our daily lives.
