"We believe that participation in worship through music has the capacity to form us as Christians."

Music.

Chancel Choir

For adults, college age and up, the Chancel Choir leads the music at the 11:00 a.m. service during the program year. Chancel Choir rehearses on Wednesday nights from 7:15-8:30 p.m. during the program year.

Choristers

We believe that every child and youth can sing, and we believe in supporting the budding artist within. Our Chorister program helps young singers develop healthy vocal production, musical and liturgical understanding, team spirit and collaboration, and the sense of what it is to lead the worship of God. Choristers help lead the music periodically during the Sunday 8:30 a.m. service during the program year. Choristers is open to students in grades 3-12 and rehearses on Wednesday night from 6:00-7:00 p.m. during the program year.

Friends of Music

“Friends of Music” are the generous contributors who make our distinguished Concert Series possible. Their financial support enhances the musical and spiritual life of our community. All contributors are acknowledged in the concert programs and invited to an exclusive “Friends” reception to launch each season. Gifts in any amount are welcome. Featuring nationally and internationally recognized performers, the Friends of Music Concert Series offers several free and open-to-the-public concerts during the program year. These concerts are held in St. Catherine’s “nave,” or sanctuary, which is highly regarded and sought after for its acoustics and design.

Jubilate Band

For adults with a spirit to serve and worship God through music with a bit more of a contemporary feel, our Jubilate ensemble welcomes those who might wish to sing, or play guitar or drums, or other “pop/rock/folk” instruments at various times in the life of St. Cat’s. You will see Jubilate leading the Easter Sunrise Eucharist, as well as a couple of 8:30 a.m. services throughout the year, and as well, providing outdoor music for our parish-wide fellowship events.
