The Sandwich Making Project

The Sandwich Project began after the pandemic hit in April 2020 when some friends began making, collecting, and delivering sandwiches for the homeless and food insecure to a church in Atlanta, Ga. When collections exceeded the church’s capacity, The Sandwich Project also began delivering to CHRIS 180 and has since expanded to support more than 15 organizations in the metro-Atlanta area that help feed the community's neediest including East Cobb. More information about The Sandwich Project is available here. Here’s how you can help! High-Need Item Donations (Before or after services on Sunday, January 16, 2022). Bring donations from the list below to the collection area in the church.

Snacks – Soft & chewy granola, protein or energy bars, peanut butter crackers or peanut butter to-go cups.

Supplemental meals – Pouches of tuna, canned Vienna sausages, small microwave Chef Boyardee or similar meals.

Other – Socks, feminine pads, baby & adult diapers, small bottles of cooking oil or dishwashing liquid.

We are planning a parish-wide sandwich-making event for later this spring – stay tuned!!
