Ecumenical Thanksgiving Celebration

The 15th annual Ecumenical Thanksgiving Celebration will be Thursday, November 21, 2019 -- one week before Thanksgiving Day -- at 7 pm at Temple Kol Emeth. It will be a dynamic evening of worship and community-building with participants from over 20 different faith traditions. All are invited. Temple Kol Emeth is located just 2 miles from St. Catherine's at 1415 Old Canton Rd, Marietta.


Reception foods requested: Please bring food donations to the event, or leave items in St. Catherine’s kitchen no later than 3 p.m. on the day of the event, marked “Ecumenical Thanksgiving”. Guidelines: Finger foods such as single desserts, fruit platters, salty mixes, cheese/crackers, veggies/dip. Meatless is preferred, NO pork or shellfish. Please pre-cut and pre-plate items. Label items, especially if gluten free or contains common allergens.


Singers wanted - Join the combined chorus of singers from many different faiths, no audition and no preparation. All skill levels are welcome. Just come for three fun rehearsals at Temple Kol Emeth, 7 pm on Mondays, October 21, November 4, and November 18. Sheet music is available for $10 (cash) at the first rehearsal.

  • Chorus rehearsal schedule - All rehearsals at Temple Kol Emeth, 1415 Old Canton Road, Marietta, GA 30062. Monday, Oct. 21, 7:00 p.m. Monday, Nov. 4, 7:00 p.m. Monday, Nov. 18, 7:00 p.m.

  • Chorus call time on November 21 - 6:00 p.m. call time for choir, for 7:00 p.m. event.

  • Chorus dress on November 21 - white tops, black bottoms, with colorful ties/scarves.

  • Musical numbers for combined chorus - Singers may either purchase music on their own, or bring $10.00 (cash) to purchase all three pieces at the first rehearsal. “Creation of Peace” by Mark Miller (SATB).
