Caring for Our Chapel, Caring for Creation
We have some wonderful news to share with our St. Cat's family!
St. Catherine's has been awarded a $2,397.90 matching grant from Georgia Interfaith Power & Light (GIPL) to help us care for one of our most beloved spaces — our sanctuary.
Over time, the wood surrounding our chapel windows has deteriorated, and the windows have become less energy efficient. Thanks to this grant, we'll be able to make needed repairs while improving energy efficiency and reducing utility costs.
GIPL works with faith communities to put environmental stewardship into action through practical solutions. This project is a wonderful example of how caring for our church home and caring for God's creation can go hand in hand.
And there's another benefit! Every dollar we save on energy costs is a dollar that can help support the ministries and outreach that make St. Cat's such a special place.
It's a small project with a meaningful impact — caring for our chapel today while being thoughtful stewards of our resources for tomorrow.
We're grateful to GIPL for helping us make it possible!
