Episcopal Community Foundation (ECF) & MUST Ministries

We are excited to share that our partnership with MUST ministries has resulted in a grant to help the food pantry.  Part of the letter from the Director of Episcopal Community Foundation (ECF), Lindsey Hardegree, is below:  "I am pleased to announce that the Board of Directors of the Episcopal Community Foundation for Middle and North Georgia has approved a grant of $8,800 for MUST Ministries as a part of ECF’s participation in the 2026 Hunger Walk Run on March 15, 2026. The purpose of this grant is capital funding for two small electric pallet jacks for use in the food Donation Center & loading off-site at food pantries. ECF was impressed with the meaningful partnership that you have with St. Catherine’s Episcopal Church; we hope that your collaboration will continue to both support MUST Ministries as well as provide a meaningful outreach opportunity for the parish."

St. Catherine's your support of MUST ministries in a myriad of ways has enabled MUST ministries to expand their food ministry to multiple areas considered to be food deserts with pop-up mobile distribution sites.  It was a delight to work with MUST ministries to request this grant from Episcopal Community Foundation for Middle and North Georgia.  ECF is a ministry of the Episcopal Diocese of Atlanta, and this grant funds pallet jacks to allow loading and unloading of food pallets used to support the MUST food ministry.

You may not often see the results of your work to feed the hungry, house the homeless, and promote the health and dignity of those around us; but MUST ministries is one place where we can see how our support provides for those in greatest need.  I encourage you to continue to bring food donations for our MUST ministries barrel, for Wheeler High School emergency food closet, and for our distribution to those who come to St. Catherine's seeking help with food.  If people are interested in planning a tour of MUST ministries' warehouse and services, we can set that up.
