More about our Great Oak Fund

Over a decade ago, St Catherine’s Vestry set out to steward her future by establishing The Great Oak Fund. This endowment fund is designed to help our present while ensuring St Cat’’s future. Funds grow for the future through investment that is closely monitored by the Great Oak Board of Directors. We draw from the investment annually, to take on small but meaningful projects in the parish. Last year’s Great Oak Fund distribution gift helped paint our Preschool Classrooms, purchased a new commercial refrigerator for the parish hall and provided more diverse images of Jesus throughout our worship space. We are currently accepting applications for the 2025 Great Oak distribution. You can read more about that and apply below. 

The Great Oak Endowment Fund gives us the ability to help write our own legacy. It invites us to be thoughtful in stewarding the church into the future. In the coming months, you will hear more about the Great Oak Fund, and you will be invited to join the Great Oak Society. Members of the Great Oak Society are members of St. Cat’s who have designated some portion of their will or estate to be left to St Catherine’s. Having finally completed my will this year, I’m proud to tell you that Mandy and I are now members of the Great Oak Society. I’d love for you to join us.
